General Strike affects Port of Conakry

Although the Port workers are not themselves on strike, we understand that the port's activities have been perturbed by a transport stoppage which has prevented many people from reaching their places of work and made the circulation of trucks difficult.

The Unions have chosen to intensify their action on the day that the national school examinations start in the hope that this will force the government to apply the measures it has announced.
