Budd’s Managers and Agents from France and a total of seventeen African countries (Tunisia, Senegal, Cap Verde, Guinea Bissau, Guinea-Conakry, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Niger, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon & Republic of Congo), were once again reunited at the Budd Group’s third internal seminar in Lomé recently.

In addition to the Group’s general strategy including new representation in East Africa (Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya & Sudan), the main topics covered were the current ISO certification process, the implementation of our in-house computerized claims management system and various questions relating to specific offices. The participants included not only Budd claims handlers, but also our regular surveyors and this provided the ideal opportunity to emphasize the requirements of our clients for quality reporting and, in many instances, communication of survey reports by e-mail.

The three days our 46 participants spent in each other’s company by provided an invaluable opportunity to reinforce a team approach and the sense of belonging to a group and it was most rewarding to note the homogeneity of the network as a whole and the eagerness of its member to render the best possible service to our clients.

Thanks to the efficiency of Mr Prosper Gato and his team from the Gato Group (our local Togolese partner), the seminar was a great success as indeed were the convivial moments of relaxation after work. The festivities in a nearby village will no doubt leave indelible memories in the minds of many of our colleagues, many of whom enjoyed dancing to a local band.
