Port of Conakry Remains Open as Suburbs Riot

Despite rioting in the suburbs of Conakry (Guinea) by protestors infuriated that the recent fall in the price of crude oil has yet to be fully reflected in the price of petrol at the pump, we understand that the town centre is relatively calm and the port is functioning normally. The local radio station is calling for an end to the disturbances.
