Budd Conakry reports that the situation has considerably improved in Guinea since the memorial service for the deceased President Lansana Conté last Friday.
Following this event the curfew was lifted and we were all relieved to learn from our local office that the streets remained calm while the ports returned to work.
The recent appointment of a new Prime Minister, Mr. Kabinet Komara (an economist), does not appear to have sparked off any disturbances and our Conakry colleagues are as busy as ever in Kamsar and Conakry despite the holiday season.
