Abidjan Lifts Ban on Vessels from Countries Affected by Ebola

Ivory Coast

Following our earlier bulletin, we have been advised that the Port of Abidjan now allows vessels who have recently called in one of the countries affected by Ebola to berth while San Pedro has reinforced health checks on all vessels, announcing that vessels with suspected Ebola cases on board will be required to fly a yellow flag and may be quarantined for 21 days.

It is expected that similar measures will be implemented in Abidjan.

In the meantime, since the Ebola situation is constantly changing we would recommend that vessels sailing in West Africa check regularly with their agents for updates.
