Algeria: Internet Cuts

Budd Algeria informs you that yesterday, June 9th, 2024, Algeria experienced nationwide internet outages coinciding with the start of the first baccalaureate exams.

While authorities deny any involvement, media outlets point to a pattern of similar internet disruptions during baccalaureate exam periods for the past eight years. This suggests the outages may be intentional measures to prevent cheating.

The internet disruptions are expected to continue for the next four days.
