COVID-19: Cruise Ships Banned from Senegal Ports

On Saturday, 14 March, the Senegalese
Governement announced that the following additional measures to reduce the risk of COVID-19 contagion would come into force as of today, 16 March 2020:

  • Cruise ships are prohibited from calling in Senegal’s ports until futher notice;
  • Court hearings will be held in camera;
  • All public gatherings in either open or closed spaces are forbidden for a period of 30 days;
  • Schools and universities
    are closed for a period of 21 days.

Budd Dakar also reports that delays at court registries seem to be longer than usual.
