COVID-19 Halts 1st Instance Proceedings in Tunis

Due to fears of Covid-19 clusters in Tunis’ first instance courts, all non-urgent hearings have been suspended from 9 to 15 June 2021.

These measures do not apply in other courts or towns.

The Ministry of Justice has issued this notification in Arabic which Budd Tunisia has translated into English for ease of reference.

Tunisia is struggling to contain the pandemic due to lack of vaccinations, a cash-strapped economy and healthcare system.
