French Railways Join Forces with Ports


The freight and logistics branch of the French national railways (SNCF Logistics) has decided to
develop new partnerships with France’s river and sea ports.

The aim is to boost the competitivity of French ports
by improving rail and multimodal links both nationally and internationally.

SNCF Combined Container Routes
 

Agreements have been signed with Dunkirk and
Strasbourg and more are expected to follow. 
In view of its geographical position, Strasbourg provides a gateway to
major European trade routes including the busy
Rhine-Alpine corridor.
