New Reefer Collection Rules in Rades

On 29 October, Tunisia’s port authorities amended the internal regulations of Rades port with relation to reefers.

The port authorities sent the attached circular (see our local office’s free translation)
to all the local agents, forwarding and shipping agents, cargo receivers, and
professionals concerned with the importation and exportation of the cargoes in
reefer containers.  The circular announces that from 1 December 2019, all
the above-mentioned parties must ensure that reefers containing perishable
cargoes (such as fish and meals) are collected immediately after their
discharge from the vessel in the same way as dangerous cargoes are.
