Nigerian Port Strike Suspended

The indefinite strike which brought Nigerian ports to
a standstill from the morning of 3 July was suspended on 5 July pending the
outcome of talks scheduled for Monday, 8 July 2019.

Loading and discharge operations have resumed.

Strikes are recurrent in Nigerian ports and are said
to be at the origin of major financial losses for the Nigerian Ports Authority.
