Tunisia on Strike in Protest over Killing
Following the shooting of Mr Brahmi, the leader of the secular Movement of People Party yesterday morning (25 July 2013), the biggest trade union (UGTT) announced a general strike today in Tunisia.
Mr Brahmi is the second opponenent to the Ennhada-led government to have been murdered this year and his death led to anti-government protests throughout the country yesterday.
