Tunisia: Stevedore Strike in Gabes

In the Tunisian port of Gabes, the stevedores employed by STAM have announced a full 3-day strike from 25-27 January included.

Industrial action had already started last week when the stevedores stopped nocturnal cargo operations.

Since the government refused to meet all of their demands, they are now retaliating with an all-out strike.

Gabes’ alternative private stevedoring company, GMGA, is continuing to work normally.
