Tunisia Stevedore Strike in Sfax not Gabes

Erratum:

Our article of 24/01/22 should have read as follows.

In the Tunisian port of Sfax, the stevedores employed by STAM have announced a full 3-day strike from 25-27 January included.

Industrial action had already started last week when the stevedores stopped nocturnal cargo operations.

Since the government refused to meet all of their demands, they are now retaliating with an all-out strike.

Sfax’ alternative private stevedoring company, GMS, is continuing to work normally.
