Ebola Outbreak in DR Congo: Update

Update: 2 July 2026

Following our initial reports  (Recent Ebola Outbreak in DR Congo), DR Congo’s Ebola outbreak has now expanded beyond the trouble-torn Ituri Province to North Kivu and South Kivu.

The country’s sea ports (Banana, Boma, Matadi) and its capital, Kinshasa, are some 3300 kms west of the outbreak’s epicenter and there is no indication that they are affected.

No specific sanitary measures have been implemented at ports so far.

We continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide immediate updates if further news arises.
